Diagnosis with The Perrin Technique
A clear, proactive approach to identifying ME/CFS, Fibromyalgia and Long COVID
Unlike the traditional model of diagnosis by elimination, The Perrin Technique offers a structured, physical diagnostic protocol specifically developed for ME/CFS, FMS, and post-viral fatigue syndromes such as Long COVID.
At Chronic Health Recovery Clinic, our consultations are comprehensive and supportive, designed to provide clarity and reassurance from your very first appointment.
What to Expect During Your Initial Consultation
Your consultation is divided into two key stages:
1. In-Depth Case History
Before your appointment, you’ll be asked to complete a series of detailed questionnaires and forms, allowing us to build a clear picture of your medical background, current symptoms, and lifestyle factors.
2. Physical Examination
Using Dr Perrin’s diagnostic protocol, our osteopath will assess specific physical markers known to indicate lymphatic and nervous system dysfunction. This examination helps determine the level of toxicity within the body and central nervous system – a key factor in ME/CFS and related conditions.
Your Personalised Prognosis
Following your assessment, you’ll receive a prognosis which outlines:
-
An estimated duration of treatment
-
The expected effectiveness of The Perrin Technique for your condition
-
A recommended treatment frequency
Typically, we suggest weekly sessions to begin with, alongside review appointments every 12–15 weeks. These reviews allow us to monitor your progress, adjust your treatment plan, and determine when you’re ready to reduce the frequency of appointments.
A Holistic Approach to Support Your Recovery
Our team, not only bring clinical expertise but a genuine interest in supporting your recovery journey. During the consultation, she may also offer personalised lifestyle advice and practical tips to enhance the effects of The Perrin Technique.
If your case highlights areas that require further investigation, we can liaise with and refer you to other healthcare professionals for additional support.
Written Report & Supportive Environment
You’ll receive a written summary of your diagnosis and prognosis after the consultation, giving you a clear roadmap for your recovery. We understand that these sessions can be information-heavy, so you’re very welcome to bring a friend or family member with you. They can help take notes, ask questions, and offer emotional support throughout your appointment.
