Tests We Offer
At the Chronic Health Recovery Clinic we use a number of the worlds best laboratories to get the most accurate data on your health. These include Regenerus Labs, Genova Diagnostics, Lifecode GX, Mineral Check, York Test and Invivo.
There are many test options which include:

Adrenal Stress Profile test
Feeling wired, anxious, tired or having difficulty sleeping. This easy saliva test assesses the hypothalamic-Pituitary-Adrenal axis, fundamentally vital for health and wellbeing.

Yeast and Mold testing
As with other infections yeast and mold can put huge burdens on the body and be at the root cause of chronic complex health problems. Overgrowth of yeast species such as candida can be identified, as well as mold mycotoxins such as; aspergillus, aflatoxin and ochratoxin.

Microbiome tests
The digestive system is not the only system with a microbiome. The mouth, and genito-urinary system (vagina and bladder) also have their own unique microbiome. Testing these can help to establish immune imbalances and the root cause of infection in current or long-term health issues.

Organic Acid testing
Establishes key nutritional biomarkers, assessing the need for antioxidants, B vitamins, minerals, digestive support, fatty acids & amino acids as well as the end products of specific pathways, which help to indicate gene expression,

Viral and bacterial infections markers
After a detailed history blood markers can show if there is a chronic or acute infection. Chronic and persistent infections have been implicated in ME /CFS for decades. Establishing which viral or bacterial infections are present can help to tailor treatment and remove these burdens from the body.
Bacterial infections include; Borrelia, Ehrlichia, Bartonella, Babesia, Mycoplasma, Chlamydia Pneumonia and Yersinia.
Viral infections include; Epstein Bar Virus / EBV, Cytomegalovirus / CMV, Varicella Zoster Virus/ VZV, Human herpes virus / HHV 6 – 7 – 8, Parvovirus and Echovirus as well as testing for Covid antibodies and Covid viral reactivation.

Genetic testing (through Lifecode Gx)
Looks at your DNA (obtained using a saliva swab), in conjunction with your medical history and symptoms, to develop strategies based on a personalised nutritional approach, to improve your health and wellbeing. This is known as nutrigenomics.

Comprehensive Digestive Stool Analysis
This test provides a highly detailed picture of your gut health, with markers for digestive enzymes and digestion, inflammation, microbiome, and pathogens (parasites and harmful bacteria and yeast species). This enables the assessment of the root cause of digestive problems and more widespread complex health issues. This test is the cornerstone to resolving gut issues and markers are given for maldigestion, dysbiosis, inflammation, metabolic imbalances, and infection.

Neurotransmitter metabolite testing
Can help to give a picture of the levels of mood chemicals in the body by seeing levels of chemicals such as; serotonin, GABA, noradrenalin and dopamine.

Hormonal testing including Dutch Test
Can give a highly detailed pattern of hormone levels over an entire month. These hormones have a powerful impact on overall health and the test includes estrogen, testosterone, progesterone, melatonin and cortisol.

These reports include:
- Nutrient Core
- Methylation
- Nervous System
- Hormones
- Thyroid
